Graybill Residence Hall is the dormitory used by the Graceland football players. Our scope of work included the complete demolition and renovation of 4 floors of dormitory restrooms. The project included the addition of a variable refrigerant flow system for cooling of lounge areas on 4 floors. The project included a rooftop unit for cooling of restrooms on 4 floors. The project also included demolition of 2 water heaters, 2 storage tanks and installation of 2 hot water boilers and 1 storage tank.

 

One of the many challenges Proctor Mechanical faced was the tight 7 week schedule with asbestos being discovered on the first week delaying the start. Ductwork would not fit in the existing spaces as designed. PMC worked with the General Contractor and the Mechanical Engineer to redesign the entire HVAC system to make it work in the existing conditions. Despite the challenges PMC finished this project ahead of schedule and the players were able to return to new restroom and lounges.
