I am pleased to write on behalf of Proctor Mechanical, Inc. who performed work as a subcontractor to The Weitz Company, Inc. on the above referenced project.

The performance of Proctor Mechanical, Inc. was exceptional on the Clarinda Prison. Their mechanical subcontract of nearly $4,000,000 was performed on schedule with a great deal of "Team" attitude. Their well-organized performance of work was conducted in an extremely safe manner throughout the 1 1/2-year duration of the project.

While design revisions were not uncommon Proctor Mechanical and their subcontractors always took on the challenge of resolving the issue in a timely manner. Coordination with other trades was extremely important and their field foremen and crews were always on top of the issues.

General Contractors really appreciate when a subcontractor's supervisory personnel solve problems ahead of time and have their work done in a timely manner to avoid delaying the trades. Deliveries were always ahead of schedule and rough-in piping never held up other trades.

The most satisfying part of the project was mechanical start up. It really clicked! Systems worked the first time they were checked out and there were minimal punchlist items.

The Weitz Company, Inc. was extremely pleased with the total performance of the Proctor Team and look forward to using them on future projects.
